Monday Morning Up and Down the Sacramento Valley
This morning’s Bee ran the gamut from WTF to downright dumbass.
Tomorrow RT bus fare is going up to $2.50 and they are eliminating bus transfer slips. HOLY SHIT! It’s been over 20 years since I’ve ridden the bus, but those transfer slips are like gold when you need to make another connection. It’s going to cripple RT even further and hurt those who use mass transportation to save money in the first place. Catch 22. Dropping transfer slips? fuckers
On the health insurance front, one reader says,
“‘Thou shalt love they neighbour as thyself.’ Do we believe this, or not? If we do not provide a health care plan for all of our neighbors, then we are just another generation of hypocrites.”
That is so out of context. I can’t stand it when someone envokes the name of Jesus for some man-made bullshit. God has NOTHING to do with the bureaucratic bullshit in the health care industry. Oh, wait, here’s an idea for you, neighbour – why don’t YOU be the compassionate one and pay for some health insurance for me. dumbass
And this one made reading the paper worthwhile this morning. Regarding why it took 18 years to find Jaycee Lee Dugard. (Actually, no one found her. She was the one who walked into the cop shop.) The reader says,
“…I think if Phillipp Crag Garrido had a marijuana garden in his backyard instead of a kidnapped girl and her two daughters, he would have been caught much sooner that 18 years.”
LMMFAO!!! OMG, that’s a good one. Right on and so true.

No more RT transfers just doubled my cost of using transit. I’m one of “those” people — someone who thinks of how to get around Sacramento first by bus and then if I can’t do it I drive.
You can’t get anywhere in Sacramento riding only one bus — transfers are almost always needed. Remove us “choice” riders and all you’re gonna get is more traffic.
