CitiBank Blows Goats

I’m once again on the verge of spitting blood. I have EXCELLENT credit. My FICO score is over 900. I checked this past December. Today I got my Citicard credit card statement. I have a meager $600 balance on it. I have NEVER missed a payment. In fact, I ALWAYS pay more, WAY more than the minimum balance due.
Last month my interest rate was a horrible 11.99%. Today’s statement says 18.99%. Seven fucking points in one goddamn month. So I called to close the account. That’s it. Game over. Fuck you guys. You pull that kind of shit with outstanding customers like myself and you can go straight to hell.
The customer service rep said the account will remain open until…whatever the expiration date was…and then it will not renew. I said NO! I told him to close it immediately and send me a letter that it’s been closed.
I asked him why the rate increased, especially SEVEN points. He said it was due to the rising cost of the current financial markets. I told him, “So because everyone else is declaring bankruptcy, you’re ass raping me to pick up your losses. I no longer want to do business with Citibank.”

People, check the interest rates on your credit card statements. Get out last month’s statement and make sure you rate hasn’t increased through no fault of your own. If it’s higher, call those bitches up and get it lowered. All you have to do is tell them you want the account closed. Believe me, they’ll bend over backwards and kiss your ass to lower your rates so you won’t leave them.
The economy is BAD, especially financial markets. Banks are SUFFERING. Do NOT let them recover their losses out of your pocket. fuckers. Get the shovel.

Noticed fraudulent charges on my 25 year old business cc with Citibank. This was last Nov. The opened 2, not one but 2 new cc’s?! Who authorized this?? The idiots keep transferring the fraud charges to new cards. WTF? Have over 50 documented calls to fraud and CS. I’ve been dropped off the line countless times. Verified that the morons have my business number to call me back when the call is dropped. Think anyone ever called? One did last week, a Sr. Account rep who promised to resolve the issue by Wed of this week. Think she called back? Collections called me today, was transferred to some jackass who wanted to pick a fight about the account back in Nov 08. I had to explain to the jackass to read the credit of $12 in Feb.
Citibank blows.

Have you noticed an increase in the number of comments since installed KeywordLuv? I’ve been considering using it on a blog I own and need some honest feedback.
@Tony, I don’t know that KeywordLuv has increased legit comments because many people don’t even know what it is. I think it’s the controversy of the posts on this site that draws the comments. Only a few people actually take advantage of it or realize it’s there. On the other hand, I have TONS of comments that I never approve from spammers who do know it’s there. Mostly coming out of Russia, but I’ve pretty much put an end to that by blocking large chunks of IP addresses on my server. My advice is to always enable Akismet. It will catch almost all of the spam. Most of the spam is just random characters like some idiot banging on the keyboard. They might be using comment submission software because the bastards are tenacious and the volume was too high for anyone to be doing it by hand day after day. I have another blog that I installed a CAPTCHA plugin on and that seems to have taken care of the submission software guys.
I also never approved those “I’ve been wondering about this for a long time.” type of comments. That is TOTAL blatant looking for KeywordLuv and they ain’t gettin’ it from me. Not only that, it dilutes the PR given to the other legit comments. If people what to leave a comment they need to have something worthwhile or amusing to say.
About limiting PR dilution, you can go into Settings – Discussion and set the Comments to automatically close after “x’ number of days. I see a lot of sites closing comments out after 90 days. You’ll just have to play it by ear.
